Making Progress...Sort Of

Ahahaha...inspiration has finally returned to me! Thank you, God! I'm finally motivated again to work on my story! The plot has so many holes to fill in...and I just realized that my characters are waaaaay less developed than I thought.

First of all, five of my main characters have issues that I need to fix.

Lynnette - Needs to loosen up
Celeste - Whiny and anoyying
Altair - Arrogant
Cielo - Needs to man up
Acacia - Way too shy

Arrgh!! My favorite part of story writing has become a challenge...

Well, at least I'm making some progress. I'm designing a new outfit for Lynnette. I'll post pictures of her soon! I think her guard uniform will be blue and silver...what do you guys think?

Daily Doodle #6 - Zoe Ravendale Character Sheet

You know how my other character drawn in this style has lavender skin? I was actually thinking about making Zoe's skin a light blue. I asked my brothers what they thought, and they were like, "NO. Do NOT do it. Trust me." So I quickly sketched Zoe on another sheet of paper and colored the skin blue. They were so right. It was so ugly! xD So I just decided to leave it white.

Man, I sure picked a bad time to make a commitment. I'm leaving for two weeks...I can still update from my iPod, but I won't be able to upload pictures. So I'll try to do some normal posts during that time, but the Daily Doodle will have to wait.

You know, posting every day is a little stressful on me. Most of the time I just hurriedly ink and color a drawing the night before. I might have to change it to Every-Other-Daily Doodle! If it gets to be too much, I'll just do it once a week.

Daily Doodle #5 - Bedtime

Lynnette is not a morning person...just like me. And she sleeps with a whale plushie!

Daily Doodle #4 - I Think You Dropped This...

Seriously guys, Phineas is addiciting to draw. Must be something about that triangular head of his...And since Natalie is addicting to draw as well, I decided to draw them together! I think it's kind of cute...

Let's just say that Natalie lived in the Tri-State area and was neighbors with Phineas until she moved to...whatever city Zoe lives in....never mind. xD I can't think of anything else to say about this picture...

I can't decide which doodle to post tomorrow! Tell me what you'd like to see! ;D

Daily Doodle #3 - Natalie Marazello Character Sheet

I drew this at my Grandma's house last week, using crayons and a dried-out black marker.

Actually, this is a character I've had around for a while, but I've never drawn her in this kind of style before. (Some of you might remember her from my Zoe/Scribbley comics!)

This was partly inspired by a cartoon T.V. show I recently started watching, The Amazing World of Gumball. It's kind of bizarre...but maybe that's part of the reason I like it!

You know, if you're ever having a hard time drawing, I recommend trying to draw a simple cartoon character like this. Just limit yourself to as few shapes as possible and don't worry about how it'll turn out!

Daily Doodle #2 - Care For a Popsicle?

I got lazy on the inking and coloring...xD

I drew this after watching the Phineas and Ferb movie, Across the Second Dimension. I liked it a lot...my little brothers did, too! All of their PnF plushes were present for the movie: Phineas, Ferb, Candace, Dr. Doofenschmirtz, Perry, Agent P, and miniature Perry. Do we love Phineas and Ferb? Yes. Yes we do.

I showed it to my brother after I was done. This was his verdict: "Phineas looks fine, but Perry looks dorky and Ferb looks spacey. But other than that, I like it." He's not afraid to be honest, that's for sure. But don't you think Ferb looks spacey all the time? I have to admit, Perry does look a bit...strange. I guess that's because you don't really see him smile that often when he's in Agent P mode.

Why are Phineas and Ferb songs so catchy?!?!? I've had the song "Hey Ferb" stuck in my head ALL DAY. I think I might buy it on iTunes...

Daily Doodle #1 - Late-Night Amu Drawing

I'm starting a new series! I'm gonna post a doodle from my sketchbook (some will be colored, some not) every day! Let's see how long I can commit to that...

(Amu Hinamori from the manga Shugo Chara!)
I drew this at about 3 in the morning. No kidding. We had a Japanese exchange student a couple weeks ago, and we were supposed to drop him off at his study center at 5 A.M., then he and the rest of his group would head to the airport. My mom suggested that we just stay up all night instead of trying to get any sleep. Because if you never go to sleep, you never have the problem of getting up! So that's what we did. We ate pizza, played some Wii, then watched Ice Age 2.

That's when Mom and our student dozed off in their chairs. I, on the other hand, wasn't tired yet. So I decided to draw this. Amu's actually pretty fun to draw! And once I was done, they were still asleep, so I colored it, too. I'm surprised they didn't wake up from me rummaging around in my box of colored pencils.

I finally made it to bed around 6 A.M. after we dropped him off. Then I got up around 11. Annnnnd, that's where this picture came from: a very tired and loopy imagination.
